An execution context within a compute node graph that groups related nodes into a processing phase.
Stages define the order and purpose of computation passes. In particle systems, stages
correspond to phases like emission, initialization, simulation, and output.
Whether a node with the given definition can be used in this stage.
Use as a preflight check — for example, to enable a "drop here" target
in a node-graph editor, or to filter a library down to definitions
valid for a particular stage.

initialize
TypeScript
static get initialize(): ComputeNodeGraph_Stage
Swift declaration
static let initialize: ComputeNodeGraph.Stage
Sets initial values for newly spawned particles.

eventSource
TypeScript
static get eventSource(): ComputeNodeGraph_Stage
Swift declaration
static let eventSource: ComputeNodeGraph.Stage
A stage that receives events from a simulation (e.g. update or terminate), and
initializes new particles for another simulation.

TypeScript
get name(): string
Swift declaration
let name: String
The identifier for this stage

output
TypeScript
static get output(): ComputeNodeGraph_Stage
Swift declaration
static let output: ComputeNodeGraph.Stage
Produces final per-particle results for rendering.

emission
TypeScript
static get emission(): ComputeNodeGraph_Stage
Swift declaration
static let emission: ComputeNodeGraph.Stage
Spawns new particles into the system.

simulate
TypeScript
static get simulate(): ComputeNodeGraph_Stage
Swift declaration
static let simulate: ComputeNodeGraph.Stage
Updates particle state each frame (position, velocity, lifetime, etc.).
